Need a debt settlement, but arrears in accounting, what next?
If we at Zuidweg & Partners ask a random customer during the first meeting about his or her accounting, the answer is often that it is not yet or not completely in order. There are many reasons why an entrepreneur or ex-entrepreneur does not have his accounts in order. But for every entrepreneur, and certainly for our customers for whom a debt settlement has to be made, it is important that the accounts are in order and the returns are submitted. The exact debt cannot be determined without declarations and correct accounting. Subsequently, no credit can be applied for to realize a restart, but an amicable debt settlement will also be virtually impossible.
Admission to the statutory debt settlement (Wsnp) is therefore a challenge, as not keeping the accounts in order can be regarded as culpable. A solution to the financial problems cannot then be realized. But how do you ensure that your returns are still submitted if you have debts and cannot pay a normal hourly rate for your accountant or accountant? A problem that many of our customers ran into
Zuidweg & Partners has found a solution for this via Stichting Hulp Bij Boekhoudt (SHBB). Through our foundation bookkeepers and, if necessary, an accountant are engaged to organize the accounts of our customers for an adjusted lower rate. As soon as the client has submitted the relevant information to the foundation, the accounts are put in order and the declarations submitted within five weeks. Many of our clients have now been able to use the services of this foundation, which means that their debts could be dealt with more quickly. A win-win situation for everyone. Not only for the customer himself, but also for his creditors and the municipality that wants to help the customer with resolving his debts.
The advantage for the participating bookkeepers in SHBB is that many of our customers, because they have been helped to their satisfaction with their bookkeeping, choose to stay with them and of course at an acceptable competitive rate.
