The frustration of invisibility
For a long time, the average SME did not believe in it. “Social media is not for companies”, was a common comment in the early days of the smartphone (2008).
We've come a long way 'I would say, but in all honesty I must say that there is still a lot of ground to be gained. Not for us as sellers of 'growth through more visibility', but certainly for the entrepreneur of small and medium-sized businesses. Because the internet and smartphones make it easier and cheaper than ever for entrepreneurs to promote their message. And then also EXACTLY to the perfectly selected target group.
What I do is help entrepreneurs and companies grow with their company through more visibility. My biggest frustration in my previous company was that we were invisible on Google and therefore always had to rely on ice-cold acquisition. Of course I was very adept at that, but how nice would it be if we were ALSO found good instead of just looking for the pin in the haystack?
Too good to be true.
When I decided to dive into the world of online marketing, I was captivated. I found that feeling that you have control YOURSELF how well you are considered to be true. And so started my search for 'how it works'. How do you get organically higher in Google? How does such a search engine measure all those thousands of companies? How does social media work? What makes people click, like or even buy?
Copywriting, internet psychology, how does our brain work, how do you find out what an ideal target group is, and so on. The world of marketing is primarily a psychological subject, and very honest? I find that so fascinating.
I help entrepreneurs on a daily basis via my videos on Youtube (Liesbeth Besamusca), my podcast (the Liesbeth Besamusca Podcast) on iTunes and of course my customers via strategy sessions or with my team. And that I help others? That is too good to be true.
